Baptism

Adult Baptism

This may be all new and even scary for you, because being a Christ follower involves more than just showing up on Sundays. In early times, shortly after people said “yes” to Jesus, they were baptized and identified fully with a community of Christ followers. Baptism is an outward act of signifying an inward transformation that has taken place through having a personal relationship with Jesus. It is a public declaration of your decision to repent of your sins, believe in Jesus and His death and resurrection, and identify yourself as a child of God in the presence of God’s community.
If you want to take that next important step, then sign up for our baptism class.

Infant Baptism/Dedication

At Newsong North Orange County, we celebrate Adult Baptisms as well as Infant Baptisms & Dedications. Because we believe that baptism is an outward expression of an inward commitment, we do baptize infants. This, of course, doesn’t mean that infants understand the commitment they are making, but it does signify that you the parents are committed to raising your children God’s way and for His purposes. For those of you more familiar with infant dedication, we also do that too- as long as you keep in mind, that dedication doesn’t “save” a child either!

We do require all parents to attend a baptism class.

Next Class: June 27th at 11:30am
Where: HIU Pacific Auditorium area
